Bike Ride for Mental Health
Saturday June 2026 | Fernie Seniors Citizen Centre
The Elk Valley Suicide Task Force (EVSTF), in partnership with the Fernie Trails Alliance, is hosting the 7th Annual Bike Ride for Mental Health on Saturday, June 20, 2026. This year’s event has been redesigned to be more inclusive and community-focused, welcoming both cyclists and non-cyclists, the event emphasizes connection, conversation, and mental wellness.
The day will feature four guided ride options starting at different times between 5:15am and 12:00pm, along with a drop-in pancake breakfast from 10:30am–12:30pm at the Senior Citizens Drop-In Centre. The breakfast, catered by The Chopstick Truck, is open to everyone —no riding required— and is available by donation.
Families, individuals, and community members of all ages and abilities are encouraged to attend, with kids’ activities and crafts available on-site.
This event aims to bring the community together to spark meaningful conversations around mental health, reduce stigma, and promote awareness and suicide prevention. Whether riding, attending the breakfast, or simply stopping by, participants will have the opportunity to connect, access local mental health resources, and support a more open and supportive community.
